How
can I volunteer? Start here!
Project F.E.E.D.
Come out on any Thursday or Sunday evening to the empty lot on 22nd Street between Columbus and Swan (west of the Family
Dollar Store). Everyone is welcome to volunteer at any time at "The Lot", no volunteer forms are required. If you do have a group please
contact our office beforehand so we can coordinate the charitable help of all groups donating their time, talent and treasure!
We set up tables and chairs starting at 3:30p.m and start serving the meal at 4:30p.m until 5:30pm. We serve
over 1000 meals each week including our Thursday and Sunday feeding. We pass out clothing, distribute toiletries, and
provide case management. If you can, Please bring food to share. It will be an added blessing to our guests. Bring your
favorite pot luck recipe in an aluminum pan (there is no running water at the lot) or just stop at the grocery for something
quick.
Come to the back of the lot
to sign in at our volunteer table or just look for someone with a Giving Tree t-shirt or security shirt on to see where your
help will best be used.
For
parking at "the Lot", please enter the feeding lot next to the Auto Zone store (near Belvedere and 22nd St.) and
proceed around back of the store to "the Lot" parking between The Palm Court Inn (at 4425 E. 22nd St.) and behind
the Family Dollar Store (at 4443 E. 22nd St.).
