Walk
To End Homelessness
Our second annual Walk To End Homelessness will take place Saturday, October 4,
2008. Money raised from this awareness walk will be used toward housing, food and medical care for The Giving Tree's
homeless guests that receive shelter and care at The Compassion Hope Center, Grace Home, Promise Home, Lighthouse and
Our Home.
The 3-mile route is chaperoned by adult volunteers to assure the safety of children and teens that wish
to take a stand to stamp out homelessness. Sponsors can contribute an amount per mile or a single contribution.
If you would like to participate as a walker, sponsor or volunteer, please contact us at 4KIDS@DAKOTACOM.NET or call 320-KIDS.
At the conclusion of the walk there will be food and celebration at "The Lot" on 22nd
Street. Check back on this site for more information on meeting place, route, time and celebratory activities.
Thank you in advance for taking part in this important and meaningful cause.

Project F.E.E.D.
(Feed Everyone Every Day)
This project was developed to feed Tucson's homeless
and needy population every day. With your help we can beat this problem called hunger.
Project
FEED serves a hot meal every Thursday and Sunday at 4pm until 6:30pm at "the lot" on 4443 East 22nd Street between
Columbus and Swan west of the Family Dollar Store.
You can make it an extra special event by bringing food
to share. Your favorite pot-luck recipe or something you pick up at the grocery would be GREAT!
There is no running water or electricity on the lot, so consider bringing your dish in an aluminum pan.
If
you feel lost in a sea of people, look for someone with a Giving Tree t-shirt or security shirt on. They can point you
in the right direction to where you are best able to serve.
