  • Non-perishable food: peanut butter, jelly, Mac and Cheese, spaghetti, sauce, canned fruit, noodle mixes, granola bars, baby food, formula
  • Linens: towels (kitchen and bath), sheets
  • Kitchen: serving utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glasses,  
  • Clothing: men, women, children, infants
  • Sports equipment and toys
  • Hygiene items: toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes, combs, disposable razors, lotion, soap, toilet paper, women's sanitary products, shampoo
  • Household items: brooms, mops, cleaning products, soap, sponges
  • Undergarments (new) all sizes/diapers, especially sizes 4,5 & pull ups

Summer Feeding Program

The Giving Tree's Summer Feeding Program starts May 23.  This is the program that provides 2 meals daily to children that receive free or reduced fee meals during the school year. This program runs until school starts again on August 8.  Summer Feeding Program 2007 served 145,924 meals!! 

You can help feed Tucson's hungry children!!  How?  You can provide:

  • Grocery store gift cards
  • Discount store gift cards
  • Applesauce cups (individual serving size)
  • Mixed fruit cups (individual serving size)
  • Yogurt cups (individual serving size)
  • Commercial size cans of fruit (any kind)
  • Commercial size cans of vegetables (any kind)
  • Commercial size mustard, ketchup, mayo
  • Hot dog buns (500 count)
  • Hamburger buns (500 count)
  • Sliced wheat bread
  • Tortillas
  • Breakfast burritos (frozen)
  • Individual serving size cereal packaged so you can pour milk in

Please mail or drop off gift cards to our central office at 4888 E. Broadway Blvd.  All food products can be dropped off at the Summer Feeding Program kitchen at 4650 E. Eastland at the corner of Swan (between Broadway and 22nd St.)

 

Don't underestimate the importance of your gift.  Your help will make the difference between a child having a nutrious meal or going hungry.
